Video door-phone (also known as video door entry or video intercom) is a stand-alone intercom system used to manage communication between the entrance to a building (residential complex, detached family home, workplace, etc.) and a resident inside of the building. Using a video door phone, residents and visitors can communicate audio visually. Video door entry is notable because it enables a person indoors to visually identify a visitor before deciding to allow that visitor access.
